Does he not understand irony? That a playwright can have his character believe something when the writer believes the opposite?

Uh. That review is infuriating. Does he not understand that not ALL writers are aiming for verisimilitude? And that it’s legitimate for a writer to make a play that is intentionally contrived/absurd/unreal?
