And I Thought, Fuck, What Is That, Like, Minnesota?

From Playbill:

The Guthrie will partner with the University of Minnesota to present three works by Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner during the famed theatre's 2008-2009 season.

As previously announced, the Guthrie commission of Kushner's The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures will be part of the upcoming season (on the McGuire Proscenium Stage). In addition to the new work, the Guthrie will also present Kushner and Jeanine Tesori's award-winning musical Caroline, or Change (on the Wurtele Thrust Stage) as well as a collection of Kushner's short plays (in the Dowling Studio).

So yes, Minnesota. Much harder to get to than DC.

[Update: ZOMG I just had a brilliant idea!! This new play happens in 2008-2009. The 2010-2011 season at Signature is all Tony Kushner. Consider that shit one-third programmed! And there's a new Kushner/Tesori musical in the works. NY-premiere that shit at Signature! Or elsewhere, and sooner, but if not, then do it then! I'll be patient and I'll be good and I promise just please!]

Easier for me! My father lives near the Guthrie.

It's a fantastic facility and institution. And, get this... the people of the Twin Cities...support it! Gasp!
